Our Responsibility

JPB works hard to be a better company across all aspects of our business – from sustainability to fair wages and health and safety. Here are the initiatives we have in place to do so.

Proudly carbon neutral

JPB Painting is a carbon neutral member of Toitū Envirocare. Carbon credits are calculated for each job base on travel time from base to site, including our contractors ,  and all carbon credits are offset via planting of native trees via the Trees That Count programme.

Fair wages

JPB Painting pays all staff in the organisation the living wage or higher. A fair living wage is an income earned during normal working hours that meets the basic needs of workers and their families, with some left over for extra expenses or savings.

Sustainability

All unused paint is returned to the Resene and Dulux recycling depot bins. All brushes are cleaned using the latest Envirowaste systems, resulting in all paint being solidified , and no paint entering our waterways.

JPB Painting has an industry leading Safe365 Index score of 80, which is independently audited annually.

The Safe365 Health and Safety Index is an output from the Safe365 health and safety maturity assessment. The health and safety maturity assessment is underpinned by legal requirements, recognized best practices (such as ISO45001), and the latest international research and development into drivers of behavioural safety.

Tōtika Prequal certified

Tōtika is the Health & Safety Prequalification Scheme that has been developed and implemented by Construction H&S (CHASNZ) to create a standard for all health and safety pre-qualification systems in the construction sector.
